This season we’ve created the Citizens of Farah project, to bring together and celebrate individual style. We called out to citizens nationwide and invited them to take part in our Spring/Summer 2012 campaign shoot. We chose the final 11 citizens to be the face of the campaign, all of whom represent the brand’s diverse following.
Orlando Weeks in Farah Vintage.
In case you needed any more reasons to run out and buy our Farah Vintage Haggerston shirt, Orlando from the Maccabees shows it off in all its glory. Wearing the shirt during their performance of Child for Zane Lowe and Radio 1 at the BBC’s Maida Vale studio’s we think he looks pretty dapper even if we do say so ourselves. Check it out:

Style Icon of the week: Elvis Costello
This week’s Style Icon is none other than the effortlessly cool Elvis Costello! With a music career spanning more than 30 years and a catalogue of hits that include classics such as Watching the Detectives and Alison, Elvis Costello is a true icon in many ways.
As part of the New wave scene in the late 70’s Elvis Costello and his backing band The Attractions were influenced heavily by early jazz bands. Sporting a uniform of suits and ties, the band broke away from the rebellious look that had developed from the punk scene. Costello mastered the ultimate geek chic look with his thick framed glasses, skinny ties and suits, reminiscent of the late Buddy Holly. Elvis Costello’s look which has stayed very much the same throughout the years makes him one of our favourite style icons!
To complete a true geek chic look inspired by Elvis Costello, try teaming our Wellington Jacket with a smart shirt and a skinny tie, chuck away the contact lenses and pop on a pair of thick framed glasses!

You can find the Farah Vintage, Wellington Jacket over at Royal Cheese now!

Vote for Farah!
Those fine folk over at DJ Mag have nominated us for Best Fashion Label as part of their Best of British awards! Do the right thing, and VOTE FARAH!

Spotted!
Love it or hate it X Factor has established itself over the last few years as a British institution. You’d be hard-pressed to go a Monday without its name being mentioned. Last year’s runner-up Olly Murs is a big Farah Vintage fan and he repped it all the way to the final. This year we’ve spotted another hopeful (or hopefuls) looking sharp in some Farah Vintage garms. One Direction are big fans of the brand and they were kind enough to send us these pictures of themselves chilling backstage in our clobber. Chicks are loving these guys right now, and these garms will do them no harm whatsoever. Farah Vintage is a brand that has been at the heart of emerging sub-cultures for the past several decades. It’s nice to see the younger generations are taking their history lessons! With clothes like the Farah goods we caught One Direction in, the next generation might just be the best-dressed yet. (Big thank you goes out to Zayn, Louis and Harry for the snaps.)

Like what you see, we sell this gear at some great retailers, including these fine fellows, ASOS, My Wardrobe, and Urban Outfitters. Check them out.
Delta Spirit
Delta Spirit, the five-piece band hailing from San Diego recently dropped by to record a Later with Jules Holland session. Keep an eye out for these guys. Fresh off the back of their new album History from Below, they’re certainly getting about, and making some impressive rock-infused waves of nosatliga along the way! Real good old-fashioned rock’n'roll fun. Here’s a clip of them on Later with Jules Holland, doing what they do best. Keep an eye out for Jon Jameson on bass rocking his Albany tobacco chinos and Brandon Young on drums in his Farah Vintage checked shirt. Nice one boys.
