The Editors were photographed in Farah Vintage for this month’s Artrocker magazine as part of the Artrocker Icons feature, which was shot by Gavin Watson. You can pick up a copy of Artrocker at your local stockist today.

To keep up to date with the happenings of Farah’s photographer Gavin Watson and his projects, be sure to bookmark his blog: http://gavinwatsonsphotography.blogspot.com.
It is there that you’ll be able to find select pieces of his photography from his work old and new.

Below are some sneak peek pictures of our AW10 photo shoot which was shot on a sunny day in East London by Gavin Watson, the photographer behind the books Skins, Skins and Punks and Raving ‘89 – all of which capture life through the eyes of Gavin; who was merely a teenager when he took to the streets with his camera documenting the skinhead subculture in the 80’s.
With the clothing styled by Way Perry, hair styled by Joe Mills and Emma Charlton from The Lounge in Soho, and grooming by Lucy Haydon Knowles, we can’t wait for you to feast your eyes upon the new AW10 collection which will be available from July at Urban Outfitters, ASOS, My-Wardrobe.com and Selfridges.

With what started off as photos taken of his friends in his teenage years, Gavin Watson has built up a reputation as one of the most influential and sought out photographers in the industry.
Publishing his first book ‘Skins’ in 1994 – a dedication to his father who had bought him his first camera from Woolworths – he gained public attention for his raw photographic style, shot in an era where digital editing was long from being invented. Further down the line came another two other books, Skins & Punks: Lost Archives, 1979-1985 and Raving ’89 – with both books showcasing the life of youths heavily involved in the skinhead subculture in working-class Britain.
Today, with work under his belt for names such as Dazed & Confused, Vogue, Vice & Maxim Magazine, Gavin Watson is working in collaboration with Artrocker magazine shooting ‘Artrocker Icons’ in Farah Vintage clothing.
For the next 6 months Artrocker magazine will showcase icons such as Toby Butler from The Dukes Spirit, Kaiser Chiefs and the Maccabees in polished, heritage style Farah Vintage garments, tying in perfectly with Gavin Watson’s earlier work.
Part 1 features Toby Butler from The Duke Spirits – out now in the March issue of Artrocker.

Toby is wearing White Mills Stretch Trousers and a Black Ives Polo.
