Farah collaborates with London College of Fashion, inspiring and connecting with the designers of tomorrow.

We’re excited to announce a new creative partnership with London College of Fashion (LCF) inviting their talented fashion students to design a contemporary outfit using our signature hopsack fabric. Bridging Farah’s iconic heritage with fresh, forward-thinking creativity, this project isn’t just about us sharing our story, it’s about Farah connecting and learning from the next generation of tastemakers.

With exclusive access to our archives, LCF students will explore Farah’s history steeped in countercultural style. From Mods and Rude Boys to Casuals and Indie Kids, they’ll delve into the subcultures that embraced our signature hopsack trouser, complete with the famous gold ‘F’ tab, and explore how we became a symbol of rebellion, individuality and youth culture.

Creative Director Chris O’Brien says,
“Farah has always been more than just clothing; the brand is a cultural touchstone. From our workwear beginnings in 1920s Texas to our pivotal role in shaping British subcultural fashion, these archival pieces will inspire students to reimagine Farah’s heritage for a new generation.”

On briefing day, we met the students and were blown away by their passion for Farah and their understanding of our legacy with one student commenting, “Seeing the Farah archives is inspiring; the way throughout the different eras, they’ve carried a similar character in the details of the clothing.”

The project brief is simple: use Farah’s signature hopsack fabric, draw inspiration from the archives and the subcultures that have shaped us and channel fresh, contemporary spirit. We’re looking for designs that capture the individuality and innovation that define us with the top designs being featured in an exhibition at LCF East Bank and in the windows of our Berwick Street store.

Looking ahead, we’ll also be working with LCF’s marketing students next year as they help launch our Farah Archive Collection AW25. They’ll develop creative strategies and campaigns to bring this premium, 16-piece unisex collection to life.
