For our latest edit, we spent time with Nic Webb, an artist and maker based in East Sussex, whose work centres on the raw beauty and individuality of wood. Often using materials others might overlook, such as gnarled, weathered, and partially decayed timber, he shapes them into pieces rich in texture and quiet narrative. Inspired by people and shared energy, his approach reflects a slower, more considered way of making and living.
