#FarahBoys - Ethan Richards aka @BushyBroweth

We spent the day with Ethan Richards, the model and influencer @BushyBroweth, #adventuresofbushy, to you and I, in London’s Soho to find out more about him.

Farah: What do you feel it means to be an Influencer?

Ethan: Well it’s definitely someone who is able to influence someone’s decision, hopefully in a positive way.

I mean everyone has that phase when they’re growing up where they just don’t take things seriously, but one day my uncle told me “put the time and energy into what you really want to do” so that is what I am doing now.

Farah: Wise words!

Ethan: Very wise indeed!

Farah: How would you describe your sense of style?

Ethan: I feel like I’m the type of person who just dresses they way  I feel,  some days I dress one way and other days another, but I don’t think I really have a set sense of style. I’m the one who everyone looks at amongst my friends and go “What?! Why?!” (Laughs). I’ve always been about wearing a cool palette of colours though.

Farah: What’s the coolest thing about living in London?

Ethan: There’s just always something to do! Even when you’re not looking.

Like a lot of the times, I’ll just go out and skate by myself and randomly bump into my friends, then end up hanging out all day. It’s really one of those cities where you’re always casually bumping into people.

Farah: What’s your favorite piece of clothing ?

Ethan: I think trousers with deeper pockets (Laughs), you always gotta have deep pockets to stash your stuff.

Farah: Totally agree!

Ethan: If it’s the right bag then yeah sure I had a stage where I used to love wearing pouches and cross body bags but now I find they don’t go with every outfit, especially when I skate, they can really get in the way.

Farah:  Who’s been playing in your headphones recently?

Ethan: A bit of Metro Boomin.

Farah: He’s just released a new album hasn’t he?

Ethan: It’s really good actually, I wouldn’t say he’s the best producer but he does some great mixes.

Farah: Where’s your usual hang out spot?

Ethan: I think lately it’s been Shoreditch, which is quite weird because I  kind of ran away from there. Not literally of course (Laughs).

Farah: Why did you run away?

Ethan: It just gets a bit too bait, like if you’re having a bad day you don’t really want to be in Shoreditch.

Farah: Oh really?

Ethan: Yeah you end up seeing the whole world and by that I mean old faces and people you don’t really connect with anymore, especially if I end up at a party and I find they’re all at the party too.

Farah: What decade do you feel had the best style?

Ethan: I’ve always really liked the 80’s, even the music and  I liked the 90’s for the skate culture.

Farah: Any plans on what your next #adventureswithbushy might be?

Ethan: The next step for now is trying to get my EP finished really, it’s basically done I just need to get everything mixed and a few visuals done, plus I have a few modelling gigs in the pipeline.

Farah: How did you come up with the whole Bushy name and hashtag?

Ethan: It came from school, the guys used to make fun of my eyebrows and the girls used to love them. I had a stage where I made a new Instagram and wanted to start fresh and then thought yeah I’ll just call it BushyBroweth and then the stylist I was assisting at the time said “your always going on adventures man” and that’s when I came up with the hashtag.

Farah: Finally, your favourite piece from the latest Farah AW18 drop?

Ethan: I’m really into the Zach Camo Pullover jacket I’ve always been a fan of camo print and it’s really one of those lightweight items you can wear all year round from skating in the winter to a festival in the summer with shorts.
